Quincie Hydock and Annalee Dare Harlow grew up in Virginia Beach and met in high school at the Governor’s School for the Arts in Norfolk, VA. Upon graduation, Dare attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and earned a BFA in Modern Dance Performance. Quincie moved to Richmond to complete a traineeship with the Richmond Ballet and earned a BFA at Virginia Commonwealth University in Dance and Choreography. Since their move to NYC, they have worked collectively and individually with various artists and companies including Jillian Peña, Von Howard Project, General Mischief Dance Theater, Artisan Dance Company, Teddy Tedholm, Sidra Bell, Reggie Watts, The Dance Cartel, Buggé Ballet, Mark Dendy, Anne Imhof, and Orange Grove Dance. Both Quincie and Dare are fitness instructors in NYC; Quincie teaching at the Bari Studio and Dare at SLT. Something they enjoy doing together is making elaborate gestures towards the ground when there is an upcoming pothole during their bike rides together through NYC.
